We did the Edgar Allan Poe room and had a blast. The staff was friendly, courteous, and the room was very interactive.“Silas“ did a great job guiding us through the experience and was very patient with us. We’re already talking about going again. We have to drive all the way from Oklahoma City, but it would be well worth it!

I've played 133 escape games, and The Poe Adventure definitely earned it's 5 stars! First, it was the perfect level of "very creepy but not scary." But not only was the design excellent, each puzzled matched the theme and was directly related one of Poe's short stories--not just "Well Poe is creepy, so we'll make it dark." The cat puzzle was excellent. I loved how the small house puzzle worked (slightly confusing, but we got it). Everything related to the platform in the first room was really impressive. I wish I could give more detail, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Oh, and very good use of space, too. By using little zones and areas, they were able to make that game feel a lot bigger than their square footage.
We need more games like this!

Several years ago back in 2022 or 2023, I went with some friends to escape the Area 51 Room. It was a blast and we enjoyed the experience and the themes of the puzzles and sound effects were very on point. Recently in September of 2026, I went with another friend to the Edgar Allen Poe Escape Room and we escaped about on time! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful both times I went and they gave us a little extra time to complete the experience this month since we were so close to finishing the room when the time expired. I highly recommend these experiences at The Secret Chambers Escape Room to anyone in the DFW area!

We ended up doing the Edgar Allen Poe escape room. Allison was our attendant. She was very helpful getting us signed in. The puzzles were interactive and clever, and the ambience was suitably spooky for the subject matter without being overwhelming for my scaredy-cat self. All in all, a great way to spend an hour.

My husband and I did the rage room for a date night and we really enjoyed it! Everything was well organized and the host explained all the directions well. The rage room is only 20 mins but it’s more than enough time! Definitely recommend.
