Sail Dallas gave my wife and me the most extraordinary week of sailing we could have ever hoped for. We arrived knowing absolutely nothing, and seven days later we walked away with ASA 101, 103, 104, and 114 certifications, genuinely confident and ready to skipper our own monohull or catamaran anywhere in the world. Captain Glenn is the reason it was life-changing. Teaching just the two of us the entire week, he tailored every minute to our pace, our questions, and our learning style. Calm, patient, and brilliantly clear, Glenn has an incredible ability to make even the trickiest concepts click instantly. He knew exactly when to challenge us, when to let us work through a mistake on our own, and when to celebrate a flawless docking or a perfectly timed tack. We progressed faster than we thought possible and had an absolute blast doing it. The course itself is perfectly designed: concise classroom time followed by long, intensive sessions on beautiful Lewisville Lake. The progression from smaller boats to larger cruising monohulls and finally to a full-size catamaran felt seamless and exhilarating. By the end we were handling reefing, night navigation, and crew-overboard recoveries with ease—and grinning the whole time. The entire experience felt less like taking a class and more like the best sailing adventure of our lives with an expert friend who happens to be a world-class instructor. If you’ve ever wanted to learn to sail (especially with your partner), do it with Sail Dallas and request Captain Glenn. We left as certified, confident sailors who can’t wait for our first bareboat charter—and we’re already planning our next course because one week simply wasn’t enough. Fair winds and our deepest thanks to Captain Glenn and the entire Sail Dallas team. You’ve given us a passion we’ll enjoy for the rest of our lives! ⛵

We went on the intro sailing experience tour and we have a WONDERFUL time! It was definitely worth our money and we had a really great experience. It was perfect, you could learn as little or as much about sailing as you wanted to. Some in our group stayed in the back of the boat and asked lots of questions, learned the ropes, etc. Others in our group just wanted to enjoy the ride. You make the experience what you want it to be!

Highly recommend! My friends and I had an amazing time on a 2hr sunset sail with Luke from Sail Dallas. It was easy to book, professional and most importantly we had a great sail celebrating our anniversary.

Update 11/29/25: Took ASA 103, 104, and 114 with Glenn and am very satisfied and feel much more confident in my skills and abilities! I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to learn more about sailing and have lots of fun!! Great instruction! Luke really cares about teaching and making you feel confident to sail. This is a great place to take classes on sailing and the required ASA certifications. I highly recommend Sail Dallas to anyone who has an interest in learning and becoming certified or just getting comfortable enough to take a sailboat out.
