We really enjoy Children’s Health StarCenter McKinney. My daughter skates here regularly, and in my opinion it is one of the best ice rinks in the McKinney / Frisco / Plano area. The rink is comfortable, well organized, and family-friendly. There are convenient areas for skaters to change, and parents have a nice place to sit, watch, and enjoy a drink while waiting. The atmosphere is pleasant, and we always feel comfortable coming here for practices and skating activities. You can also see more photos and videos from this rink on my daughter Agata’s TikTok, @agata.usa, where she shares her figure skating journey and training moments. Highly recommend this rink!

Get directions →A very good place to enroll your child in figure skating or hockey. I myself thoroughly enjoyed skating there alongside my son. The coaching staff is exceptionally strong; they are demanding, yet at the same time very attentive and sensitive to every child.

Newer facility with a parent lounge, has hot food and snacks. The rinks are colder than others, so bring a blanket for the metal bleachers if you are sitting down. Has free WiFi and near to a lot of great food. Convenient location.

Great hockey arenas that are well kept. They have a nice place for renting skates some food options that are pretty good as well. The cheese quesadillas is a monster. Nice little bar to hang out to kill some time between games. We spent five days down here for a national hockey tournament for the Warriors

I took my daughters here to watch the Dallas Stars practice. This place is very nice and clean. I honestly had no idea that McKinney even had a rink. All the staff we encountered were friendly and security for the practice was respectful and courteous. The Stars practice was fun to watch and the girls even got a practice puck thanks to the Stars Captain Jamie Benn. We will definitely be returning...I may even try to learn to skate.
