This has been me of our favorite places to come get energy out for at least five years. They have some great staff and my kids love it here. However, we hadn't been in for quite some time and today we entered only to discover, front and center, there were a collection of flashy, overpriced arcade games. This place is already incredibly overstimulating. But now there are the flashing lights and electronic screens of these games. If I had known I would have at least prepared my kids and told them there was no way we were paying more for these games. In fact, one of the reasons we come here is to escape the pull of screens, particularly on hot summer days, and get exercise! I understand the decision from a business point of view, but today I watched kid after kid stand in front of these machines, even if parents had said no to paying for them, to pull knobs or push buttons, staring wide eyed at yet more screens. We will likely cancel our long-standing membership after today.
